As parents, we understand the importance of quality education. We found ourselves searching both locally and nationally for an academy that offered a well-rounded program, and we soon realized there was a void between the locally-owned dance studios and elite performing arts institutions. We decided to fill that void by founding Skyra Studios, a premier performing arts academy, offering the finest education in dance, acting, art, and filmmaking. We see the value in finding a single location that provides all the tools your child needs to become a successful artist, and we sought out the best talent for our program directors.

We are very excited to introduce you to our program directors. We have the world-renowned, former Orlando Ballet principal dancers Israel Rodriguez and Katia Garza as our Dance Program Directors. Orlando favorites Israel and Katia, are highly sought-after dancers, choreographers, and master teachers who still perform around the world today.

Erin Beute is our Acting Program Director and is a professional working actor, singer, composer, and screenwriter. She has a vast resume and has become “Mom” to tens of thousands as Elena’s mother, Miranda Gilbert, on The Vampire Diaries.

Alex and Nicole Ray are the Art Program Directors and bring years of professional working experience in Drawing, Painting, Comic Books, Storyboarding, and Photography.

Our combined backgrounds in the entertainment industry will allow us to offer our students the opportunity to receive professional industry experience. Our programs will have cross-functionality with actors, artist, dancers, and filmmakers coming together to create unique and original stories.

Mary and I have produced many feature films under our sister company, Skyra Entertainment. This experience and our connections will allow us to create original content in all genres for our performers to gain experience and exposure. We have direct relationships with studios that fund and buy creative content. The content we create over the year will not simply be sent home as nostalgic memorabilia but professionally-packaged pitch projects. At the end of the day, these projects could be picked up and produced into full feature-length films, TV series, or broadway shows! By coming to our program, your child will be a working professional on actual industry stage and film projects that can be added to their resume and used on their sizzle reel. Our students will leave our program as seasoned professionals ready for whatever medium they decide to grace with their performance.
