Small Thyme Catering

Small Thyme began as a whim and a dream. Starting back in 1992, Barbara Perry spent months researching small businesses at all the local Chambers of Commerce.

In 2004, with 20 years experience in the Hotel, Restaurant Management and Catering fields, she opened Small Thyme Café in Oakland CA., and Small Thyme Catering shortly followed.

As Of May 2016, Executive Chef John Morgan has assumed ownership of Small Thyme Catering, and the promise to continue to provide delicious culinary creations at a reasonable cost. He brings along 8 years of experience in catering and fine dining.

We have an impeccable staff, from a Le Cordon Bleu certified Executive Chef to talented and qualified servers & bar staff – all working together as an experienced team devoted to your culinary desire.

We offer tastings by appointment only. During your appointment we will design a menu and service package that will satisfy all your requests. If you don’t see what you’re interested in through our standard catering menus, just let us know and Chef John can create a specialized menu tailored especially for you.
