Small Town Images

Originally from the Midwest, Sarah Northwood is an artist who was introduced to watercolor painting while in high school.

Married for 20 years and mother and home school teacher of their 6 children didn’t allow a lot of time for her to pursue her own interests, as she was directing her creativity to the care of her family and church family. Photography rather than painting soon became a new passion as Sarah was rarely seen without her camera in hand.

Most recently, she was given a prophetic word that “God was harvesting ideas”. Uniting that with faith, she asked the Lord to give her an idea that she could "run with", and shortly after that she came up with the idea of this new company called “Small Town Images”.

Sarah Northwood has been a Bel Air resident since 1995 and has combined her love for this town with her love of digital photography. Inspired by the architecture here, she has taken photos of familiar sights and has presented them in a fresh new way. Printed with The Giclée printing process, all of the larger prints are printed on fine art paper with archival quality inks, ensuring that these works will last for 100 years or more .
Northwood lives in the town of Bel Air, Maryland with her husband and 6 children.
