Ornamental trees like dogwoods and Japanese maples are the jewels of any garden. Roses, Azaleas, and Wisteria, perfectly pruned, create an energy that is at once both joyful and serene.

Beautiful plants should be beautifully treated. Proper care will ensure the plants you love will be around for a long, long time. Most trees and shrubs go through an awkward period; don't we all...But periodic pruning can encourage stronger growth, allow more light, and improve air circulation around leaves and branches.

Some speak of aesthetics, but I prune for personality. Every site is different, and everything about a site contributes to the shape and 'personality' of a plant.
