SmartyPedia Center for PreSchoolers is an up-and-coming family daycare in the south-end of Albany, New York. The daycare will be serving Albany’s low to mid-income families that are seeking quality child-care which includes extremely close supervision in a home-away-from-home daycare setting, small roster, high-energy learning atmosphere where their child will have loads of fun while learning age-appropriate basic skills on a strict routine schedule.

Spear-headed by Nasson and Racquel Skervin, SmartyPedia boasts that its students will enjoy a nurturing atmosphere designed to deliver a bright, secure learning environment with continuous brain-stimulating learning activities.

One of the main goals of SmartyPedia Center for PreSchoolers is to expose toddlers and preschoolers to a world of learning at an early age in order to prepare them for academic excellence even before they begin Head-Start or actual preschool! This ensures that preschooler, after a year or so of instruction at SmartyPedia, will be at the ready-mark for kindergarten!

Some of the more high-lighted areas will be promoting strong and positive social skills through enforcement of daily greeting, use of good manners, sharing etc…., emotional health will be nurtured by daily communication with each parent daily and paying close attention to and responding appropriately to each child’s moods upon arrival, duration of the day as well as at departure. Physical health will be addressed by again a “high-energy” learning environment in which the children’s minds as well as their bodies will be stimulated through physical activity.

Paying close attention to the different ways each child learns is another big area of focus at SmartyPedia. It is well-known and understood that children learn best and the most when their different methods of learning are acknowledged and acted upon. Having a small group of children in the center will allow SmartyPedia to carry to execute this belief.

Other high-lighted areas include strong focus on strict supervision, protection and cleanliness of the children and the center, healthy meals and snacks and of course FUN, FUN AND MORE FUN!
