Smith Country Lodge

Smith Country Lodge has a unique blend of country and elegance to make you feel welcome and at home. Originally, the Smith Lodge was the home of Malcolm and Peg Smith. For 42 years, the Smiths lived here and raised their three children. The farm thrived with a bountiful garden, cows, horses, and lush hayfields. In 2012, Jeff, the Smith’s son, and his wife Tara bought the farm and renovated the home for guest to come and stay.

The Smith Country Lodge offers 4 bedrooms, 3 with queen beds and one with twin beds. The sun porch has plenty of room for an inflatable mattress. The Lodge can comfortably sleep up to 10. There are two full baths with slate tile walk-in showers. The updated farm kitchen is fully equipped with oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and dishwasher. A washer and dryer are available in the laundry room. Other rooms include a dining room, living room, sun porch, and a mud room.

There are beautiful scenic views of mountains and pastures from all angles of the Lodge. It is a way to enjoy the peaceful beauty of country without being far away from the city.

Rome is a great small city with an amazing, vibrant downtown area for shopping and eating at unique restaurants. Rome has 3 universities/colleges and a huge medical community that is a hub for the surrounding counties in Georgia and Alabama for shopping, dining, education, and medicine.

The nearest grocery store is Food Lion 10 minutes from the Lodge.

Berry College and its beautiful scenic campus is 5 miles from the Lodge. Berry offers scenic drives, walking, hiking or biking.

For the shoppers, Mount Berry Mall is less than 5 miles away which includes Dunham’s Sporting Goods, Belk’s, JC Penney, Bath and Body, and many more places to shop.
