Smoky Mountain Outdoor Center provides the necessities for a great trip to the Smokies. Tubing down the Little River is a scenic adventure that shouldn't be missed. Made by AIRE, our canvas covered tubes with a mesh bottom are made to endure the river and give you the best experience possible. Shuttle buses run throughout the day for tuber's convenience.
Bikes are available to rent from us through Knuckle Busters. The bike trails of Townsend are a great place to ride and take in the Smoky Mountain views while being close to surrounding nature.
Smoky Mountain Outdoor Center houses the top brands in outdoor retail such as Patagonia, Yeti, Costa, Kavu and ENO for both everyday wear and outdoor excursions. Our staff are knowledgeable about the products sold to answer any questions and provide information as needed.
A family friendly atmosphere makes SMOC a great place to spend the day. Picnic tables are available wether you're having a snack between tubing trips or taking a break in the shade. Corn hole boards, WindPouches and ENO hammocks are set up in the front yard for use and entertainment, accompanied by a beautiful view of the mountains. Our high quality facilities are kept clean to ensure satisfaction.
