More about Snow Camp Theatre

Snow Camp Historical Drama Society was organized in 1971 to preserve and acknowledge the rich history of the Quaker community in Snow Camp, NC.
In 1973, James Wilson founded Snow Camp Outdoor Theatre and with much enthusiasm he brought the "Sword of Peace" then "Pathway to Freedom" to the beautiful Cane Creek area of Snow Camp.
42 years later, the Outdoor Theatre stands as a historical monument for the Quakers, Revolutionary War, Underground Railroad, and Mr. Wilson.
Many changes are coming for the 2015 season, including Emmy Award winning make-up artist and filmmakers Dean and Starr Jones.
Dean and Starr are natives of Snow Camp and both worked at the Outdoor Drama in their youth. With much respect for James Wilson and family, they plan to use their film experience to revamp "Sword of Peace" and "Pathway to Freedom" using a cutting edge, cinematic approach!
