Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique is a small, clean, friendly, relaxing and safe upscale dog grooming salon with highly trained and skilled Pet Stylists. We give your dog the individualized service it deserves. We customize your dog's grooming session around your dog's grooming needs. We care about your dog's overall welfare which is why we groom by appointment only. It is not our style to have your dog here all day. We pride ourselves in being able to have most breeds completely groomed in 2 hours or less. Larger breeds of course, will take extra time. We have specific appointment times which ensures us the ability to spend the quality time deserved on your pet. We believe in quality over quantity. We offer late extended hours on Wednesdays. We are open on some Sundays by appointment only. Because we groom by appointment, we have a 24 hour cancellation policy. While we try our best to accommodate all of our clients we strongly recommend that your book your appointment in advance to avoid frustration. Our pricing is determined by breed.


SOGGY PAWS GROOMING BOUTIQUE POLICIES
These are basic policies and procedures of Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique. Non-standard conditions arising during the performance of services, including but not limited to coat conditions, styling requirements and cooperation of your pet, may add to the final price. By signing below, you agree to pay the final price upon completion of the grooming services and, further, you agree to each of the following terms and conditions. If you have any questions, please let us know PRIOR to the start of the grooming session. Any changes to our Policies will be posted online and offered at our boutique at the next grooming appointment, and it is understood that the signature at the bottom of this page applies to any future changes and request for services is agreement to changes that have been posted.

Payment Policy - All fees for services rendered and products supplied are due at time of service. Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique is an appointment based business. The Appointment is the responsibility of the client and all reminders are a courtesy only. Appointments that are missed without prior notification are disrespectful to our groomers and other clients who wanted that appointment slot and are subject to a fee equal to the base price of the breed. Proper notification is defined as 24 hours in advance, but will be considered on a case to case basis up to appointment time. As soon as the appointment time has passed without a phone call, it will be considered a “No Call/No Show” and will automatically be charged to the last credit card used on file. Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique has the right to refuse service to a pet that arrives more than 20 minutes late to it’s appointment and charge a missed appointment fee. I understand that Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique offers an Extended Day service for dogs left more than 1 hour after the completion of their grooming service. I agree to pay the Extended Day Service fee of $20 in the event that it was not my original intention to leave my pet that long. Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique closes at 5p on Mondays and Thursdays, 7p on Wednesdays, 3p on Fridays and Saturdays, Sundays at 1p. I understand that if I show up past the posted closing time to pick up my pet, I will be charged $15 per every 10 minutes that I am late and or $1 per minute between 10 minute intervals.

Safety & Liability - To ensure a safe environment for our groomers, staff and each pet, please inform us prior to grooming if your pet has bitten someone or have aggressive tendencies. We reserve the right to immediately cease the grooming process if the groomer feels your pet’s behavior is compromising his/her own safety or safety of the groomer. Prorated charges may apply. Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique is not responsible for damage or injury resulting from a pet’s behavior, including but not limited to the pet running away or biting a person or another pet. I also give Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique the right to use or not use CPR at their discretion in an emergency situation, and agree not to hold Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique responsible for any adverse consequences of using or not using CPR.

Matted Coat and Skin Condition - Removing heavily matted coat carries the risk to your pet of nicks, cuts, razor burns or abrasions due to skin conditions such as warts, moles, or skin folds trapped in the matted coat. Heavy matting can also trap moisture near the pet’s skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow causing skin irritations, and failure of the hair to re-grow. Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique is not responsible for any adverse effects of grooming a matted coat. I understand I may need to apply suncreen to my shaved pet until enough hair grows back to protect my pet. I also understand my pet may exhibit brief behavioral changes as a result of shaving. An owner may request a groomer to dematt their pet (within reason) at the rate of $80 per hour on top of the standard grooming fee. Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique will not attempt to dematt a pelted coat.

Shaving Double Coated Breeds - I have been informed by Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique, understand and agree that by willfully shaving my dog it will not reduce shedding, my dog’s coat may or may not grow back as post - shaving canine alopecia can be triggered, may cause skin irritation and behavioral changes, leave my dog susceptible to the elements or sickness; and does not necessarily make my dog feel cooler. I understand that this is NOT a breed standard practice for my dog and what damages may occur and risks involved by requesting that my dog be shaved I completely absolve Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique of all liability.


Social Media/Photography - I understand that Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique reserves the right to photography any and all pets and owners and retain use of their images for use of social media promotions and advertising without compensation to owner or pet.

Anal Glands - I understand that Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique does not express anal glands. I understand that external expression is not as effective or safe as an internal expression done by a veterinarian. Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique is not responsible for any anal gland complications that may arise after a grooming service is performed.


Flea Control - Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique is a flea free environment. Flea treatment will be administered at the first sign of fleas. I give Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique permission to administer this treatment and agree to pay the product charge and additional cleaning fees involved ($25) if fleas are detected during my pets grooming appointment.

Senior Pets and Pets with Health Problems - Senior pets and pets with health problems have a greater chance of injury. These pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort in styles that will not add to their stress. This means we will do the best job we can, given the condition of the pet. Sick animals left in our care will be charged and extra care fee of $10 if the circumstances warrant it.

Vaccinations - By signing below, I affirm that my pet is current on all required vaccinations and licenses. The State of Illinois does not require proof of vaccination prior to grooming services, and Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique will seek affirmation of vaccinations only in relevant cases. If my pet is not current on all shots and licenses, I understand that Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique is not responsible for any viruses, diseases, etc. the pet may pick up from exposure to a multiple canine environment. I also understand that if my pet bites any person, Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique is required by law to report that bite, and I agree to pay all quarantine charges and fees associated with an unvaccinated bite incident and will not hold Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique responsible for any subsequent charges or reports due to the incident.

Veterinary Care - If my pet becomes ill or is hurt and requires the services of a veterinarian, I hereby give Soggy Paws Grooming Boutique permission and authorization to obtain treatment is I am not available to do so, and I agree to pay for any and all veterinary services


Satisfaction - Our groomers will always work hard to try and ensure the best groom possible. However, keep in mind that your pets safety, comfort and health are ALWAYS priority. If you are unhappy or unsatisfied with your groom please notify us within 72 hours so that we can adjust or correct it. There are NO REFUNDS. If changes are requested more that 72 hours after your grooming appointment, there will be an additional charge with may include a re-bathing fee.
