Solutionary Species

Humans have come to be known as a problematic species. We destroy the environment that we call home, we use and abuse the creatures that share this planet, and we even cause harm to each other. But if we continue to think of ourselves as a problematic species, how will we open the door to change?...

Realizing the importance of solution-oriented thinking, a small group of dedicated solutionaries began using the power of humane education to change the way people think about the world's problems. Instead of dwelling on problems at hand, this small group would think critically and creatively to come up with practical and effective solutions. They then would travel to schools, churches, businesses, etc. to teach people of all age groups about environmental stewardship, social justice, animal protection, solutionary leadership, and changemaking.

As solutionary thinkers, the team took their efforts a step further and organized the very first Florida Solutionary Summer Camp, featured in The Huffington Post and funded by The Pollination Project.

Inspired by the support of the community and The Pollination Project, the Solutionary Species team decided to begin organizing and directing educational events that have the power to change the hearts and minds of thousands of people. Solutionary Species is continuously growing - through its number of volunteers and team members, through its strengthened values and new perspectives, and through its expansion of goals to create a healthy, compassionate, and sustainable world.
