Somme Woods Community

Somme Woods Community is group of people from varied backgrounds who have come together to help restore health and vitality to beautiful Somme Woods Forest Preserve.
We gather at weekend workdays to remove invasive plants, gather and spread seeds, and lend nature a hand to recover from unfriendly human impacts. After hard, satisfying work, we gather around the brushfire for soup, s'mores, and laughter. Might you like to help out? Everyone is welcome!
