Songs for Jenny

My name is Jason Chitwood. I live just outside of Atlanta, Ga near Kennesaw State University. I have been written songs and performing since high school, but I don't get out much these days.I have a teaching job, a five-year-old and my wife of nearly a decade is fighting Stage IV cancer. She was a first-grade teacher before cancer metastasized. We are likely heading out of state for treatment, so we have a go fund me to support our travels. My attempts at humor trump my serious compositions, but I'll mix in a little of both. I am coming straight of Kennesaw, but I'm not armed. I picked up most of the subject matter for my music living in various spots around Georgia. I was born in Athens, and I spent my childhood and formative years on the farm in Franklin County. I studied History at Georgia College and received a Master of Public Administration from Kennesaw State University. Over the years I played the college bar circuit with long forgotten bands Mezmer, The Crucials, Solo, and Shea's Gin. I'm no longer a weekend warrior. I teach government at Georgia Military College-Atlanta. I don't hit the bars or the studio very often so this page will mostly devoted songs and rants from Facebook Live.
