Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge Complex

Welcome to the Sonny Bono Salton Sea NWR Complex FB page! The refuge is part of the USFWS National Wildlife Refuge System, located within the Pacific Flyway in Southern California and is an important stopover, wintering, and breeding area for migratory birds. Also within this system is the Coachella Valley NWR, managed for threatened and endangered species, specifically the Coachella Valley Fringe-toed Lizard and Coachella Valley Milk vetch.
