Sonoran Science Academy Peoria

We are a free, public charter K-8 school with a small-school atmosphere and emphasis in STEM education. Our staff members have worked together for many years, and have created a sense of community between students, families, and staff. We frequently hold family events, and pride ourselves on fostering a caring, supportive environment that also asks the best from our students.

SSA Peoria is focused on STEM education -- science, engineering, technology and math -- and college prep, with instruction in writing and the arts, and opportunities for healthy physical activity. We offer a learner-centered education with an emphasis on outcomes, visual aids, and technology integrated education.

Our A-rated school participates in statewide and national math, science and art competitions, and focus on skill-level education with individualized instruction. We emphasize a scientific approach, hands-on work, computer literacy and the ability of students to use data and articulate a thesis.
