What comes to mind? Is it the way they hug you in the morning? How their hair blows in the wind during an evening walk? Maybe it's the way they cover their face when they're blushing.

Whatever it is, those are the details of their character - who they truly are. And, those subtleties are heirloom worthy. They long to be photographed so they can become part of your families history.

I have plenty of photos of my grandmother, but none of her delicate hands, curly golden locks, or soft pink lips. You see, those are the details I remember when I think of her. The movement of her hands as she crocheted on the porch. The curly hair that rested at the nape of her neck as I walked behind her in the garden. The color of her lips as she hummed a beautiful melody preparing dinner in the kitchen.

I long for photographs of her ordinary details because they are the pieces of who she was and the way she is remembered.
