SDDC was founded by Apostle Ernest Parham in July 1987 with a vision from God to train up his children in these last and evil days. The ministry itself has several programs such as; food closet, clothing ministry, youth ministry, drama and dance ministry, and community action program.

SDDC has expanded greatly over the years adding a Christian academy k-12th and a Bible Seminary College offering various Christian degrees from associates to PhD. These educational programs address the barriers to achieving quality education and building well balanced individual for Christ.
