After attending culinary school in Italy, Josh Biffle fell in love with both the country and a native Italian, got married and was lucky enough to study, for more than three years, under two master gelato makers.
Fast forward to today and he and his wife have relocated to San Antonio (hence the A La Mode play on the famous Alamo) where they are sharing their passion for and love of Italian gelato. A native of Austin, Josh decided to return to his roots and create an authentic gelateria in South Texas.
Using legit ingredients such as Sicilian pistachios, Josh is making rich and creamy gelato that, fortunately, does not require a passport to enjoy it. Grazie.
