The racial makeup of the CDP was 46.89% White, 49.02% African American, 0.08% Native American, 0.49% Asian, 0.41% Pacific Islander, 2.70% from other races, and 0.41% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 8.52% of the population.There were 452 households out of which 31.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 40.3% were married couples living together, 24.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.8% were non-families. 24.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
