South Wind Equestrian Center is just north of Austin in Leander. We offer equine assisted psychotherapy services, equine experiences, amazing retreats and other horse/human activities that focus on relationships and connection. We also offer our facility to others for workshops and clinics.

South Wind Equestrian Center is a 34-acre private ranch just north of Austin in Leander, offering a peaceful and private space for Trauma-Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy professionals. There are two climate controlled offices with Wi-Fi, The offices are stocked with office supplies, and cleaned weekly with the special touch of home including bird baths, flowers and comfortable furniture. The horse facilities include four round pens, a lighted arena, walking trails, a labyrinth and our incredible herd of 18 horses that are well-cared for and happily allowed to be horses in a stress-free environment, living outside 24/7.

The ranch is located in a quiet neighborhood with no road noise and offers a safe place for healing and hope. The wonderful old live oak and cedar elm trees are home to song birds and the wildlife preserve bordering this beautiful ranch allows for wildlife sightings. This ranch offers the feel of being away from the world, but is located only minutes from Austin, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Leander and Liberty Hill. The owner maintains the property and office spaces to allow professionals peace of mind knowing the horses are safe and the property well-cared for with appropriate liability insurance, waivers and equipment. Space is rented by the session and includes the use of the facility and horse, as well as equipment.
