The Southeastern Photographic Society (SPS) was formed to members learn the skills for capturing exceptional images and sharing them with others. The society has been serving the photographic community since 1976.
On the first Friday each month SPS hosts a competition and lecture/presentation. Competition themes vary with the goal to encourage members to shoot outside of their "comfort zone".
The fourth Tuesday of every month SPS hosts their popular member "Learn Shops". These informal sessions are taught by our club members to our colleagues so that we might introduce each other to a variety of photographic skills, from lighting and composition to Photoshop and Lightroom.
SPS also sponsors a member workshops/field trips that are free to all paid members with the exception of additional costs incurred for venue, travel and lodging.
In order to enter images into competition (digital or prints) you must first be a full SPS member. Annual dues are $30 for individuals and $40 for households, due each January (some discounts/credits apply for registrations after March of the current club year).
