The Southern Cross Ranch was established in 1891 by George Chambers’ great, great, great grandfather in the Victory-Farmers High community of western Carroll County, GA. He was the original conservationist by not only the diversification of the types of livestock and crops he raised and produced, but by virtue of the fact that he owned the gin, grist mill, slaughter house and tannery that were located along the banks of the Little Tallapoosa River in the Victory community.
