Southern Toggery

‘Southern Toggery’ came to life in late summer of 2014. While my family and I were vacationing on the gulf, I came across a preppy clothing store that paired almost identically with what I had envisioned owning myself for several years. Over the course of that week, I diligently pondered over the thought of opening my own business when I returned home. Keeping in mind that there was little to none when it came to quality clothing stores in the area for men and women alike, I knew that offering a new, yet fresh selection would undoubtedly be an asset for our community.

After several weeks of late night researching of the brands that I desired to carry, numerous phone conversations and e-mails between sales representatives, a torn battle of deciding what retail location to choose, along with the guidance of my business-minded father, my once dream quickly turned into reality.

The great Jesse Owens once said, “We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline and effort.” I find this statement to be on point with the vision that I withhold, and look forward to using those key principles to provide quality clothing to the Morehead and surrounding areas at Southern Toggery!
