At Southern Trust Mortgage, we believe in giving back to our communities. We are committed to acting on the issues, needs and concerns of the communities where we are privileged to do business and where our clients and partners live. We know that work life really can’t be separated from personal life, and we value our community relationships accordingly.
We have truly taken notice of the potential dangers that Realtors can face as they venture out into homes, which is what prompted our multiple Self-Defense seminars administered by the Calvert County Sheriff’s Department. Our goal was to raise awareness and help prevent compromising situations.
In the past, we have raised money for Toys for Tots by Guest Bartending at a local restaurant, helped feed multiple struggling families for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and even donated a full security deposit so that a local woman suffering from cancer could move her family into a more comfortable living situation.
Our armed forces are near and dear to our hearts, and being aligned with the Wounded Warrior Project is something we are very proud of. Last year Southern Trust Mortgage donated more than $175,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project, and we hope to exceed that in 2015!
Nothing would be more gratifying than to see more participation from our business partners in our upcoming events. We are in the planning stages of a blood drive administered by the Red Cross. The need for blood is constant and our contributions are important for a healthy and reliable blood supply. Soon after that we will sponsor a CPR/First Aid class. Ask yourselves: Would you know what to do in a cardiac, breathing or first aid emergency? The right answer could help you save a life.
