Southland Insurance and Financial Services Inc. was formed in 2009. Jim and Denise Callahan had been agency owners with Farmers Insurance for twenty-seven years. Seeking the ability to find multiple insurance markets for their customers, they joined the Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance’s (SIAA). This enabled Southland to contract with over thirty major carriers to service the multiple needs of their clients. All of our carriers are A.M. Best rated (A) or (A+). This reflects A.M. Best’s confidence in the company's ability to remain financially sound even if it were to have to make large payouts as a result of catastrophic losses such as hurricanes and tornadoes.
