At Southside you will find imperfect people with imperfect lives living under the amazing grace of a perfect God! Join us for our weekly worship service Sunday mornings at 10am.

What We Believe

We believe that God created the entire universe from nothing. Man’s relationship with God was damaged by believing we do not need God. The only answer to this according to the Bible is the blood of Jesus Christ which was shed for each one of us. The Christian life is not one of following religious rules (Christ did that!), but of living in Christ. The result for those who choose this path is the opportunity for an abundant and eternal life. This is the truth we find in the Bible which, in its entirety, is our authority.

•We are an independent, nondenominational, community church and believes that the Bible is divinely inspired and without error
•We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, sinless, died on the cross for our sins, was raised from the dead on the third day, and is coming again.
•We believe that all have sinned. Sin creates a barrier between God and man. The only way to cross that barrier is through Jesus Christ.
•We believe baptism by immersion is essential for believers who desire a relationship with Christ.
•We believe the Holy Spirit lives in each believer to enable them to be transformed becoming more Christlike, and to empower them for ministry.


We believe the purpose of the Church can be summed up in the following passages:

The Great Commandment:

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. In addition, the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. Matt 22:37-39

The Great Commission:

All authority in heaven and on earth has now been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Matt 28:18-20
