Southwest Central Fire Territory

Southwest Central Fire Territory was established in 2008. The Territory covers over 75 square miles of residential, commercial and farm areas with 20,000 residents. We currently operate out of 2 fire stations. Station 41 is located at Fillmore road in Portage Twp., Station 42 is located at Kern and US 31 in Centre Twp. Currently we operate as a combination department with 19 full-time firefighters and paid on-call firefighters. We proudly serve the needs of Centre, Portage and a section of Greene Township by providing fire, rescue and emergency medical services. We serve with professionalism and pride, striving to meet the demands of our community.
