Since 1877, spcaLA has been the premiere animal welfare organization in Los Angeles. spcaLA's P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village & Education Center opened in 2001 and was the first shelter of its kind in the United States. The Village is a revolutionary shelter that provides a second chance to thousands of animals per year. The Village sits on 6.5 acres with open space, grassy areas, and indoor/outdoor dog cottages with abundant natural light and fresh air. The Village also features fresh air, free roaming Catteries for the cats. In addition to adoptions, the Village offers dog training classes, a Marketplace, and a Pet Hotel & Grooming Salon. All proceeds benefit the shelter animals. Visit spcaLA today and see why we are Los Angeles' finest and oldest animal welfare organization!
