The mission of Special Equestrians of Georgia, Inc. is to provide equine assisted therapy to physically, emotionally, and mentally challenged children and adults. Therapeutic riding gives children and adults the ability to explore and improve their physical and mental abilities, creates independence and freedom, and promotes a sense of accomplishment that might not be duplicated in traditional therapy settings. We know that therapeutic riding helps physically in all ways, but we have also seen equine assisted therapy heal the souls of abused and troubled youth.
Founded by PATH-certified instructor Stacey Edwards, Special Equestrians of Georgia, Inc. is a non-profit organization working with physically and mentally challenged children and adults in the Metro Atlanta area.
