Special K Ranch is a place where people who have developmental disabilities live, learn, and work with loving caring advisors who are committed to strengthening living skills and building personal and community relationships. This is being accomplished by family oriented living with only four residents in each home. They are receiving guidance from live-in home advisors and learning independent living and vocational skill by being responsible for personal care, household maintenance, ranch production, and involvement in the community. Everyone works together in the horticulture and livestock programs to help the ranch become as self-sustaining as possible. Until these goals are reached, the program will need financial assistance from charitable support.
