Oklahoma Life Skills Association was formed in August of 2002. OLSA is a federally granted 501c organization specifically designed to address early intervention, community inclusion and family support with an emphasis on very low to moderate income families who have a child with special needs. Our primary program is Special Kids Learning Center. OLSA is supported by our community, including the George Kaiser Family Foundation and the Zarrow Foundations and the Pediatric Health Care Fund.
SPECIAL KIDS is a state-licensed, two star childcare center. The SPECIAL KIDS Learning Center strives to maintain a ratio of approximately 1/3 typical to 2/3 special needs children. SPECIAL KIDS offers before and after school care, nutrition, summer enrichment and community exploration. Additional programs include respite care, parent night out, advocacy, parent support group meetings, referral and resources and on site speech, occupational and physical therapy. SPECIAL KIDS Learning Center is Tulsa's only non-profit, special needs child-care facility.
Special Kids Care is open M-F, 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m..
