FAQs:
The full appointment is around 1/2 hour. It takes approx 5-10 minutes for a full body spray tan. The consultation is usually 5 minutes and after getting sprayed 10 minutes to dry.


How should I prepare for my Tan?- It is imperative that you exfoliate your skin the day before or even for a few days leading up to the Spray Tan. I recommend you use a washcloth with soap. Some sugar or salt scrubs contain oils that you want to avoid, plus those plastic loofahs really don't slough off those dead skin cells. Exfoliation is important so the skin can be a clean even canvas. If the spray tan is applied on uneven skin, the older dead skin cells will come off first causing the tan to possibly fade poorly. Do any waxing or shaving 24 hours before. And remember..no oils, lotions, perfumes, deodorant the day of the tan.

How long until my tan develops?- You will see instant color due to a cosmetic bronzer. The actual tan will take from 9-12 hours to fully develop, so do NOT shower or get wet until that time as you will risk washing off the spray tan! When you finally shower you will see color washing off. Do not be alarmed as that is just the cosmetic bronzer that is washing off. You will have a beautiful tan underneath.

Is spray tanning safe- Yes. The active ingredient DHA is approved by the FHA . It is the same ingredient that has been approved in every sunless tanner on the market for decades. for clients that request them I do offer nose plugs, protective eye wear, face masks and lip balm for your use. If you suffer from any forms of athsma or copd please consult with your doctor prior to booking a session with any questions.


What is the active ingredient?- DHA, (Dihydroxyacetone) is often derived by plant sources such as sugar beets and sugar cane and by the fermentation of glycerin. The DHA reacts with the amino acids in the dead layers of the skin. The DHA combines with the amino acids to form brown colored melanoids. It is not absorbed into the body and it is non-toxic.


How long after do I have to wait to exercise? - Do not exercise or do anything that will make your sweat. Refrain from ANY skin to skin contact until you have showered. If you do not follow this you will be preventing the tan from fully developing which can result in patches and streaking.

Can I get a spray tan if I have sensitive skin?- The tanning solution is good for most sensitive skin types however those with severe asthma or very sensitive skin refrain from spray tanning .Always consult a doctor with any questions.

Can I Spray Tan if I am pregnant?- Most people are suitable to have a spray tan. We suggest that pregnant women consult with a doctor prior to scheduling an appointment.

How often should I moisturize after a spray tan?- Moisturizing is a crucial part both Pre & Post spray tan. Do not moisturize until AFTER you take your first shower. Post spray tan you must moisturize at least 2x per day & remember, the DHA in the tanning solution reacts to the outer layers of the skin. The more you moisturize will delay natural exfoliation which will prolong your tan. If you don't, your skin will get dry and your tan will fade quickly. Moisturizing also helps the tan fade evenly. Drugstore moisturizers are not the best or even ones from stores in the mall. You really need to check ALL the ingredients. I recommend using a lotion made specifically for spray tanning. These will not have drying alcohols as the store brands do and they contain many hydrating properties. You are paying for a Tan so you really should use the proper maintenance products so you can get your moneys worth.

Do I still need sunscreen after being spray tanned?- YES!! there is no SPF protection from a spray tan. You will not be protected against UV rays and will still burn.

Can I apply makeup & go out after being spray tanned?- Yes you can. However do not wash your face before the 9-12 hours or you will be removing your spray tan. I personally have put on full makeup and have gone out for the evening prior to showering and full development time. The solution I use will look good while developing and contains an pretty instant bronzer as well. Just give your self a good hour or 2 to make sure you are fully dry and comfortable before getting dressed. I also suggest wearing dark colors during this time as the bronzer can stain light clothes & not look very attractive.

I always burn in the sun and never tan. Can I still get a sunless tan?- Absolutely! If you are someone who always burns in the sun and therefore has never been able to tan, you can achieve a sunless tan. You would be sprayed with a natural looking solution.

How long will my Spray Tan last?- It will last anywhere from 5-10 days. depend on how diligent you follow post tan instructions and moisturizing. Remember a spray tan is on the outer layer of the skin, so anything you do to cause exfoliation will fade the tan quicker. It is imperative that you moisturize at least 2x a day and avoid hot baths, pools and hot tubs

Can I shave or wax?- Yes, but I do it at least 24 hours before your tanning session, If any sooner the wax or cream will provide a barrier against the skin preventing the solution from being absorbed.

What do I need to wear?- Wear a dark colored swimsuit or undergarments. The tanning solution will wash out but in some cases might stain light colored garments. You can wear as much or as little as you are comfortable with. Discretion is followed & your comfort is the main priority. After the spray tan session wear something loose fitting, no bras or tight pants as it will cause the spray tan to smear and develop uneven. Minors and men must wear bottoms (no exceptions)

Will I experience allergic reactions or acne with your products?- The solution we use is hypoallergenic-designed specifically for hypersensitive skin. it is oil free and alcohol free with minimal ingredients unlike other spray tan solutions. If you have known allergies to sunless tanning please consult with a physician.
