Spring Pastures Farm is a family-owned farm in the heart of the Middletown Valley. We raise and finish healthy, happy, animals on a richly diverse selection of grasses. We use no hormones, growth supplements, antibiotics, or otherwise interfere with the natural process of animal growth.
We are restoring the land through the use of rotational grazing of beef cattle. Our herd is grass-fed and grass-finished and live outside year-round. Forage is stockpiled in our pastures for winter grazing and we supplement with local hay as necessary. We handle our animals with care in a low-stress manner.
We currently sell our beef at the Middletown Farmers' Market (located just outside Frederick, Maryland) every Thursday from 4-7. And you can visit our on-farm store by appointment. We sell individual cuts, roasts, steaks, ground beef, marrow bones, and organ meats. We can also sell sides cut to your specifications (inquire by email, phone, or in person for more information and prices).
