St Ann's Catholic Church

St. Ann's Catholic Church is a place of worship, evangelization and reconciliation. It offers parishioners and visitors alike the occasion for a deepening conversion and a step forward in the journey to God.

The first Mass celebrated in what is today Needles was in 1774 by Fr. Francisco Garces, a Franciscan priest of Spain. The Parish of St. Ann was first a mission of Tucson, Arizona founded in 1886. In 1888 it received its parish status and was returned to the care of California dioceses. The present church was built in 1921, and gives visibility to our faith and Catholic heritage. It is here that the faithful gather to worship God, and are sent to spread God’s word wherever they go.

We, the people of St. Ann’s Parish, brothers and sisters in Christ, accept as our mission: to know our faith, to live by truth and love, to serve the needs of others, to teach by example and thereby strengthen and inspire the Parish family.
