St. Egbert Catholic Parish.

If you are visiting or returning, welcome and Peace be with You! We hope that you will find St. Egbert Parish, first and foremost a place of hospitality and to fall in love with our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Catholic Community in Carteret County was born through the preaching of Passionist Order Priest Father Egbert Albert. Father Albert was able to persuade a local non-catholic land owner to donate a piece of land on 17 and Evans Street for the purpose of building a new church.

The original church was built and finally dedicated on June 23, 1929 and was named for the Patron Saint of Father Albert.
