St. Francis Camp on the Lake

St. Francis Camp on the Lake is a 501-(c)3, non-profit organization committed to providing the ultimate camp experience to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Located in Jerome, Michigan, St. Francis Camp on the Lake provides campers with personalized programs that promote personal growth and emotional and physical well-being.

In 1984, the Great Lakes Region of Caravans of the Order of Alhambra jointly purchased a camp in the Irish Hills of Michigan. The purpose of this very special camp is to provide individuals with developmental disabilities an opportunity to experience summer camp in a safe and practical environment.
St. Francis Camp on the Lake’s 36-acre site includes 195 feet of waterfront
located on the shores of Goose Lake, sandy beach, rustic woods, developed nature trails, sports area, adventure course and two beautiful cedar lodges where campers and counselors are housed.

St. Francis Camp on the Lake is the premier camping facility for those with special needs. We provide week long summer camp programs which are aimed at inspiring individual campers to be potent, loving, contributing human beings. Our specially designed programs truly empower the individual camper.
