About Us...

St. Francis Episcopal Church sits on 19 pastoral acres at the corner of 179th Street and Metcalf, very close to the Overland Park Arboretum. This setting provides a welcome oasis in Southern Johnson County. Within our 19 acres is a prayer walk through the woods, which provides a beautiful opportunity to enjoy God's creation.

The active and engaged parish joyfully welcomes all people, young and old. The parish works to be Christ's hands and feet in the world and respond to the activity of the Holy Spirit through worship, fellowship, education, community engagement, music, and Episcopal liturgy. The church is served by the Reverend Doreen Rice. Join us!

Sunday 10:15 a.m. - Holy Eucharist Rite Two
Wednesday 6:30 p.m. - Evening Prayer and Holy Eucharist followed by Christian education

Outreach...
The people of St. Francis have been serving one another, the surrounding community, and the world for 40 years. The parish is in partnership with the First Baptist Church in Stilwell, KS in support of its food pantry, which is open Tuesday 2 to 5 pm. Volunteers are always welcome.

Throughout the year, the parish supports a variety of other activities as well.
