St. George's Anglican Church

St. George’s is what you will hear Christians refer to as a church plant.

What comes across when we use this terminology is simply, “We are the new church in town!” A true enough statement, because St. George’s is a new church in Medina, Ohio. But we are also a very ancient church.

We, like many churches in Medina, are rooted in the same ancient story that is still changing lives today: of how God has irrevocably changed humanity in the person of Jesus Christ. This story is both simultaneously like and unlike any other story you have ever heard.

Like the first ones to follow Jesus, we are an eclectic community called to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God. We are at the beginning of our journey and the story of our particular church, St. George’s hasn’t gotten past the introductory pages yet. What will our story be and who will write it?

We are looking for writers who want to share the eternal story. We are looking for artists who want to create transcendent beauty. We are looking for farmers who want to harvest everlasting crops. We are looking for social workers who want to awaken a community. We are looking for parents who want to raise spiritual orphans. We are looking for musicians who want to keep us singing joy. We are looking for friends who want to like sinners. We are looking for blind beggars who want to show us the way. We are looking for you … if you are looking for a community like us.
