Worship at St. James
Sunday:
8 a.m. – A service of Holy Communion that uses the riches of the more traditional (Rite One) language found in the Book of Common Prayer. Includes organ music and hymns with choir soloists.
10:30 a.m. – A service of Holy Communion employing the more contemporary (Rite Two) language of the Prayer Book. Includes organ, choir, and soloists.
5 p.m. - A shorter service of Holy Communion employing the more contemporary (Rite Two) language of the Prayer Book.
During the 10:30 service, children age 4 through third grade are invited to leave the service just before the sermon and process to the Parish Hall for Children’s Chapel, where they experience worship tailored just for them. The children return to the main service at the Peace.
Wednesday:
11 a.m. - Healing Service & Holy Eucharist
Friday:
6:30 p.m. – Centering Prayer, in the Parlor off the Narthex (the lobby of the church).
