Every Catholic church holds a special place in the hearts and minds of believers. We go to our parish church to encounter Jesus Christ in the Eucharist, both at Mass and in the tabernacle. We bring our babies there to have them brought into the family of God, we watch our young people approach the altar to be confirmed in the faith, and we bring our beloved dead there to pray for them on their journey home. Couples exchange and renew wedding vows in their parish church. The repentant sinner finds the consolation of the sacrament of Reconciliation and the priest finds his “spouse” in the assembled community. In their parish church, people of every stripe find the support and nourishment that can only be given by other members of the Body of Christ.
Established as a canonical parish in 2007, St. John Neumann Catholic Church boasts, as of this writing, 1841 households, 112 of which have joined us since July 2012!
In his Confessions, St. Augustine cries out to God “Late have I loved You, Beauty ever ancient, ever new!” In a way, one can say that the Church, too, is “ever ancient, ever new.” Our parish community, founded by Jesus Christ and formed by the teaching of His Apostles, is also “ever ancient”; at the same time, the prayerful vibrancy and faith-filled commitment of its members keep it “ever new” as together we walk toward the inheritance God has promised us.
Come pray with us, worship with us, and walk with us as we grow in our identity as daughters and sons of a loving Father and faithful disciples of Jesus Christ!
