St. John's Episcopal Church, Newtonville, MA

St. John’s Episcopal Church is a welcoming place for all people, wherever they are in their spiritual journey.

Our community embraces a true melting pot of individuals and families, who range from newborn babies to 99 year old retirees. All visitors are cordially invited to share in our worship service, receive the gift of the Eucharist, listen to our accomplished choir, and enjoy coffee and snacks with us after the service.

For families, St. John’s offers baptism, child care during the service and coffee hour, and Christian education, including confirmation, for ages 4 through adult. Our church also builds connections and friendship among parishioners through a vibrant sermon group, fellowship groups that meet monthly for potluck dinners in different homes, and a treasured, long established Gift and Thrift store open on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

We communicate church happenings and information through our monthly publication, The Eagle, through weekly e-mails, through our website, and now through this Facebook page.

Our priest in charge is the Reverend Mark Edington. St. John’s is led by a Vestry of 10 members, with an Executive Committee comprised of a Senior Warden, a Junior Warden, a Treasurer, and a Clerk. We hold an annual meeting for members each January.
