St Johns High School's Vocal Music program is under the direction of Mrs. Nichole Eller. SJHS Vocal Music consists of three choirs, Woman's Chorus, Concert Choir, and Men's Ensemble.
Women's Chorus and Concert Choir are classes that can be taken at St. Johns High School. Concert Choir is the select choir that you can audition for. Women's Chorus usually consists of younger or newer singers. Though this choir is not an audition choir, the expectations are still very high.
The two choirs work throughout the year on various things from sight-reading, solfège (Do, Re, Mi), blended sound, vocal health and much more. They explore the worlds of both classical and contemporary music throughout the year and are always working toward raising the bar.
Men's Ensemble is an extracurricular activity available to any guy who can hold a tune. This gives the guys an opportunity to explore the unique sound that comes from a men's choir.
St. Johns High School's Vocal Music program is a blast for everyone involved. Their concerts never disappoint!
