Saint Luke strives to be a church that welcomes all people, families, generations, and identities. We are in a season of "stretching" and want to uplift the Buffalo community through our Food Pantry, Clothing Pantry, donations, scholarship opportunities, gospel concerts, fundraisers, and involvement on local campuses. We are a predominantly African American congregation and we appreciate our rich history and culture through uplifting praise and an energetic worship service.
The African Methodist Episcopal Zion church was founded in New York City in 1800. In 1820, six of the early AMEZ churches elected James Varick as an ordained elder and in 1822 he became the first bishop of the AMEZ church which was also a triumph against racism within the Body of Christ.
We welcome you to fellowship through our digital ministry and in person!
