St. Luke's Episcopal Church

We are a community of followers of Jesus Christ in the Episcopal/Anglican tradition. At St. Luke's we welcome individuals of every race, nationality, gender, age, ability, sexual orientation, and economic circumstance to join us on our journey toward a deeper, richer relationship with God. We go out into the wider community of Durham, NC, as agents of God's grace, mercy, and justice. We are an active part of a larger network of Episcopal congregations called "The Episcopal Diocese of NC"

The ministers are all the people of St. Luke's, led by our rector, the Rev. Helen Svoboda-Barber, our Curate, the Rev. Daniel Reeves, the Rev. Deacon Dan Laird, and the Rev. Jim Craven. Kaye Saunders is our music director. Carol Joyner is our Sunday hospitality coordinator and nursery caregiver (kids are more than welcome in church or the nursery). Kathy Barnes is our parish administrator.

We love music but can also appreciate silence. We look for the face of God in everyone and look for ways to help and be helped. None are perfect, and all are forgiven. Come and see.
