St. Mark’s Episcopal Church worships in historic Union Church at 1004 11th St., with offices a half block away at 1110A Paris Ave. We are part of The Episcopal Church, which in turn is part of the world-wide Anglican Communion. Our Vicar is the Rev. James C. Dannals and our Bishop is the Rt. Rev. Charles vonRosenberg.
Founded by a small group in 2003, we became a mission of The Episcopal Church in South Carolina in 2013 and look forward to becoming a parish in November 2015.
In a world in which our understanding of God's love is still unfolding, we at St. Mark's are a diverse, welcoming, Christ-centered community engaged in ministry always shaped by The Episcopal Church's example of love and service for all throughout the world. With a focus on outreach, St. Mark’s members work as hands-on volunteers in the community with Family Promise of Beaufort, Thumbs Up, CODA, Habitat for Humanity, Phoebe’s Closet, and the Free Medical Clinic. Through the Diocese, we send volunteers to the Dominican Republic.
