At St. Paul Lutheran Church: Worship has a central place offering members and guests the opportunity to experience God’s reconciling love and healing hope through Word and Sacrament. In response to God’s gifts, we offer praise and thanksgiving through liturgy and music that both honors tradition and welcomes new styles. Nourished through worship, we are sent to bear witness to God’s transforming power.

Learning opportunities actively engage everyone in the study of Scripture and Lutheran Christian tradition in a variety of settings. With open hearts and minds we seek to understand our Baptismal identity, develop the ties that bind us to one another and God’s creation, gain wisdom and grow in faith in order to confidently share the Good News with others.

Servant ministries witness boldly to our calling to care for all of God’s creation by feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, seeking justice and dignity for the poor and outcast, providing healing care and nurture for the lonely, broken-hearted and ill, pursuing peace in a divided world, and living as responsible stewards of the earth.

Ministries of hospitality enthusiastically invite and welcome the diverse people of the lower Connecticut River Valley and shoreline communities, as well as those whose lives intersect with ours, to experience the peace and love of Christ and to know this congregation as home.

Generous and wise giving is a grateful response to the abundant blessings bestowed on us. We offer ourselves, our time, and our possessions, trusting that our gifts will become more than enough to accomplish God’s works that we are called to do.

Praying never ceases! We actively encourage, explore, practice, and teach different types of prayer and devotion to better speak with God, listen for the Holy Spirit’s call, and discern how God wants us to live.

Encouragement is offered freely to all people in our midst in order to increase our sense of belonging and connectedness to God and one another, to strengthen our participation in the ministries of Christ and this congregation, and to develop and support leadership for ministry in Jesus’ name.
