More about St. Paul's Antiochian Orthodox Church

Welcome! We are glad you found our page! Saint Paul is a fellowship of Christians who have come to the Orthodox Church from a variety of denominational and devotional persuasions. The Orthodox Church is very well known in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, but it is one of the best-kept secrets in America. Because of this, we have summarized some of our beliefs and practices on this site.
We love our Church. She is the genuine community many of us had longed after for years, but she is not without flaws. No family of sinners is. And yet, we have survived and thrived for two millennia. Thanks be to God!
All of the good in the Church is credited to the Holy Trinity of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. When God the Son became Jesus the Man, He took on our greatest enemy, death. He died on the cross, trampled death with death, rose again, and ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father.
Good News! Jesus Christ, the victorious King accepts all who come to Him for their salvation. God desires that all should be citizens of the kingdom. Life therein is a matter of choosing to enter and choosing to stay, day by day. If we are faithless, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and welcome us back home.
This is why the Church has survived failures and setbacks over the years. Like Saint Paul, She knows whom She has believed and is persuaded that He is able to keep what She has committed to Him until that Day, 2 Ti. 1:12. The Church today is the Church of the Apostles who saw the resurrected Christ, not because she is perfect, but because her Lord is.
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The Epistle of St. Paul to the Romans 8:38-39
