St. Peter Cathedral School

The School With a Heart in the Heart of the City has been welcoming generations of families into a warm and nurturing environment for over 184 years. Founded in 1830 by three sisters from Mother Seton's community, St. Peter Cathedral School has grown from an orphanage and boarding school to a Diocesan Elementary School that proudly proclaims a long and rich history.
St. Peter Cathedral School is an elementary school of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wilmington, Delaware servicing students from Pre-Kindergarten to Eighth Grade. The Daughters of Charity who administer the school along with a dedicated and committed faculty have the unique privilege of molding and transforming lives on a daily basis.
The school community is comprised of children from a variety of religious, cultural, and economic backgrounds.
Our ultimate goal is to enrich our students with a firm sense of self-esteem as well as a strong academic foundation so that each one is prepared to meet challenges of life and learning that await them beyond the door of St. Peter Cathedral School.
