St. Peter Catholic Church Aurora, Illinois

In 1924, St. Peter Parish was established as a mission church, becoming independent in 1929. Our school was opened in 1931 and is staffed by Springfield Dominicans and dedicated lay teachers. Pastors Joseph Rojemann, Joseph Rzeszotko, Edwin Millen, Ronald Jones, George Glover, OSB, and Antoni Kretowicz, saw our parish through many stages of development. This growth continues under the guidance of Rev. Joachim Tyrtania. Our history will continue to be written by the dedicated people who carry on the spirit of faith, sacrifice, and love for our community.
