St Peter’s is one of 48 Episcopal Churches in the Diocese of Vermont.
Since the retirement of the Rev. L. Jeannette McKnight in 1995, the congregation has been served by “supply clergy” and "lay persons" and the ministry of the parish is guided by the Vestry.
St Peters has been the home of the Lyndonville Area Ecumenical Food Shelf which serves neighboring communities, since 1996. It had its beginning in 1981, when the newly ordained Deacon, prepared Thanksgiving boxes for the people in the area. In a few years, it became the Ecumenical Council’s project, supported by all the local churches.
St Peters has connected with Partners for Sacred Places, and is in the process of evaluating, and preparing to make many costly repairs to the building. In the near future, it will be asking for help in completing the restoration of this historical building that continues to serve not only its parishioners, but the wider area as well.
