St. Rita's Chapel

The Church of the Holy Communion at St. Rita’s Chapel is an Independent Catholic church.

Independent Catholics are not formally connected to the pope in Rome, but they practice apostolic succession, the sacraments, and devotion to the saints. From their early-modern origins in the Netherlands to their contemporary proliferation in the United States, these "other Catholics" represent a liberal, mobile, and creative variant of America's largest religion.

The Church of the Holy Communion regards principles like universal human dignity and individual freedom and the primacy of human happiness as essential and principal components of the teachings of Jesus. We believe in the concept of Free Catholicism ~ freedom of thought, conscience and choice.

We seek to bring the services and sacraments to those who need and welcome them, to those who desire the joy and peace in God’s Word and Our Lord's Holy Sacraments, but interpretation of beliefs is yours.

I don’t speak perfectly anymore due to a stroke but I am celebrating Holy Communion every Sunday and you are most welcome to celebrate with me.
